Fernanda Gontijo (1984)
Artista visual e designer gráfica, tem se dedicado à pesquisa e ao fazer artístico com interesse especial pelo resto como potência poética e matéria de criação e as relações entre palavra e imagem. Através do desenho, da colagem, da pintura e da fotografia, explora diversas materialidades e texturas, incorporando fragmentos do seu cotidiano e da paisagem urbana, investigando a natureza experimental construtiva do processo criativo.
É formada em Comunicação Social, pós-graduada em Processos Criativos em Palavra e Imagem e em Artes Plásticas e Contemporaneidade pela Escola Guignard (UEMG). Em 2020 sua pesquisa foi contemplada pela Lei Aldir Blanc do Governo do Estado de Minas Gerais. Apresentou a exposição individual “Quando o tempo para e cai para todos os lados”, em 2021, no Café com Letras (BH/MG). Participou da mostra coletiva “Temporada de Verão”, na Casa Gal, e apresentou a exposição individual “Vejo os Meus Próprios Olhos” em 2022, também na Casa Gal (BH/MG). Em 2023 participou da exposição coletiva “Cultivando Incertezas” na Galeria da Escola Guignard.

Visual artist and graphic designer, she has a special interest in the remainings as poetic power and material for creation, and the relationship between words and images. Through drawing, society, painting and photography, she explores different materialities and textures, incorporating fragments of her daily life and the urban landscape, investigating the constructive experimental nature of the creative process.
She has a degree in Social Communication, a postgraduate degree in Creative Processes in Word and Image and in Contemporary Arts from Escola Guignard (UEMG). In 2020, her research was rewarded by the Aldir Blanc Law of the Government of the State of Minas Gerais. She presented the solo exhibition “When time stops and falls everywhere”, in 2021, at Café com Letras (BH/MG). She participated in the collective show “Summer Season”, at Casa Gal, and presented the solo exhibition “I see my own eyes” in 2022, also at Casa Gal (BH/MG). In 2023 she participated in the collective exhibition “cultivating uncertainties” at the Guignard School Gallery.
